Easter Revision at Bath Academy

In the run up to January and summer GCSE and AS/A Level examinations Bath Academy offers intensive Revision Courses. Instead of working passively and unsupervised at home, students on the Christmas and Easter revision courses are motivated to strive for the highest grades at A level and GCSE, and to maximise their self-confidence.  We encourage students by addressing their needs and concerns, including the revision of key subject areas, in a supportive environment. The tutors are specialists in their fields, and many are examiners for the Boards. Each tutor will assess the student’s requirements to tailor the course to the individual and ensure that the course builds on the student’s own term-time studies. Small group tuition means that the tutors are able to effectively cover individual concerns. Great emphasis is placed upon practice in answering exam-style questions and training in exam technique. In addition, advice is given about the organisation of notes and revision planning. Parents will receive a written report at the end of the course.

• Week 1: 2 – 6 April
• Week 2: 9 – 13 April

Both small group courses and individual courses are offered:

Small group courses:

Monday – Friday ‘topic specific’ courses (i.e., covering the main topics of the specification, these are common to the main examination boards, with some exceptions – please contact the college to discuss your requirements)

• Classes will be either
• 9.00 - 1.00 including a one hour mock exam each day.
• 2.00 – 6.00 including a one hour mock exam each day.
• i.e., a course will be 5 mornings or 5 afternoons

• This permits 2 subjects to be studied each week.

• Cost = £620 per course (or £124 per half day if not following the whole course);

• These courses are tailor-made to the precise needs of the individual student with teaching aimed at specific units and boards. Individual courses will be charged at £46 per hour.
• Classes will run either
• 9.00 - 1.00 including a one hour mock exam each day.
• 2.00 – 6.00 including a one hour mock exam each day.
• i.e., a course will be up to 5 mornings or 5 afternoons
