As part of our continuous process of improving quality,
we are pleased to announce that all Bath Academy English
language courses are now accredited by the British Council.
This extremely prestigious recognition means that our standards of management, teaching, accommodation, and student welfare all come up to the very high standards of the British Council.
Bath Academy has been accredited by the BAC since 1998 for the high quality of our academic courses, so British Council accreditation was not essential for us. However, we felt it was another way of showing our customers how serious we are about the quality of our courses. The fact that we passed first time shows the strength of our courses and the commitment of our team.

The British Accreditation Council is an independent body which was established in 1984, "to improve and enhance the standards of independent further and higher educational institutions in the United Kingdom by the establishment of a system of accreditation." It publishes a list of some 109 independent colleges which have been inspected and accredited.
Bath Academy was first accredited by the British Accreditation Council for Independent Further and Higher Education in January 1998 and was most recently re inspected in February 2008.
BAC's inspectors reported on an overall good level of provision in the College. They stated in particular that the College has maintained its high standards and developed since the last inspection. The quality of teaching is very good and students are successfully prepared for their examinations. furthermore, there is excellent provision of advice for students going on to higher education. The inspectors were impressed by the thoughtful, committed management team, well-qualified staff, and friendly, courteous students.
Bath Academy was awarded re-accreditation in April 2008.

Bath Academy is a member of The Council for Independent Education (CIFE) the professional body that represents independent sixth-form colleges. CIFE was formed nearly thirty years ago by a number of prominent colleges who wanted to share ideas and to set up an inspection system so that parents and students had an assurance of quality. What CIFE colleges have in common is an emphasis on the individual and enviable reputation for getting the best out of their students.
